Terms & Conditions
External Contractors
All external suppliers (including but not limited to AV, theming, entertainment, photographers) must:
- Provide Public Liability Insurance (minimum $5,000,000 cover)
- Submit event setup details no later than 14 days prior to event
- Always Comply with Skyline Rotorua Health & Safety requirements
- Complete all necessary Skyline H&S inductions and compliance requirements prior to arrival
Skyline reserves the right to deny access to non-compliant contractors.
Food & Beverage
Skyline Rotorua operates as a licensed premises under the Sale and Supply of Alcohol Act 2012.
- No external food or beverage may be brought onto the premises.
- Skyline reserves the right to refuse alcohol service to intoxicated guests.
- The Client agrees to support Skyline’s host responsibility obligations.
Damage & Liability
- The Client is responsible for any damage to Skyline property caused by guests, contractors, or invitees.
- Skyline Rotorua accepts no responsibility for loss or damage to client property before, during or after the event.
- To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skyline Rotorua’s total liability arising in connection with this agreement shall not exceed the total amount paid by the Client under this agreement.
Indemnity
The Client indemnifies Skyline Rotorua against all claims, losses, damages or expenses arising from:
- Acts or omissions of the Client, its guests or contractors
- Injury or damage caused by client-supplied equipment
- Breach of this agreement
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for failure to perform due to events beyond reasonable control including but not limited to:
- Extreme weather
- Mechanical failure
- Natural disasters
- Government restrictions
- Acts of God
Where cancellation occurs due to force majeure:
- Skyline will refund monies paid less reasonable costs already incurred.
Cancellation Policy
- 180+ days prior: No penalty
- 180–45 days: 10% of anticipated total event value
- 45–30 days: Deposit retained
- Less than 30 days: 100% of total contracted event value payable
General
Skyline Rotorua reserves the right to:
- Refuse entry to intoxicated or disruptive persons
- Substitute comparable facilities if required
- Operate other venue areas concurrently
- The Client acknowledges that Skyline Rotorua operates as a public venue and photography may occur. Any request for restricted photography areas must be agreed in writing prior to the event.
This agreement is governed by New Zealand law.
